Personal Development

At Heron Cross Primary School, we believe that education goes beyond academics – it is about shaping well-rounded individuals who are confident, considerate, and prepared for the future.  Our commitment to personal development ensures that every pupil leaves us equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Through our curriculum and school ethos, we instil the fundamental principles of British Values – democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance – while also nurturing the core values of our school.  We encourage our pupils to be respectful, responsible, and resilient, empowering them to make positive contributions to society.

At Heron Cross, we are proud to support the personal growth of every child, helping them to develop strong moral character, a lifelong love of learning, and the confidence to embrace new opportunities with integrity and enthusiasm.

Every child, from Nursery to Year 6, receives their very own passport to take with them throughout their journey at our school. These passports will celebrate and record each child’s unique experiences, achievements and reflections as they move through the year groups.

The Enrichment Passports are a wonderful way to showcase all the amazing opportunities and activities our pupils take part in — helping them to see just how much they grow and accomplish along the way.
